Security?

Okay this is a little embarrassing, but I'm pretty sure all of you have some sort of a security whether it be a favorite sweater, jeans, pillow, or whatever. (You know you have one.) Mine is an actual blanket. I've had this thing since I was about 2. It went EVERYWHERE with me. Vacations, college, girls camp, and yes even the hospital when I had my babies. But now has come the time when I must let go (Rose to Jack..."I'll never let go."). It has started to fall apart. Whenever I touch it a piece would tear off. (I know, it's gross.) My husband would always say to me before we went to bed. "I'm going to wake up one day and you're going to be dead from either suffocation, or strangulation." Now I see what he's talking about. I must let go! Goodbye my sweet, sweet blanky...I'll always love you.(don't judge me)

It's pathetic, I know.

Okay so this is the sickest part. I told my mom that I was going to throw it away, and she wouldn't let me. She took it home and is going to cut it and sew it back together. Don't worry, she's putting it in my Hope Chest. Phew!! Thanks mom.

SiLlY fAmlLY

Here are some random pics of my kids.
Avery is finally laughing out loud. She is getting so big and it's making me sad.

3 months old.

Me and my kids. I'm really not sure which one actually looks like me. I've been told Trey kind of does but mostly people say they look like their Dad.

Trey showing us his muscles.

We took Trey out for the night. He needed some one on one time with Mom and Dad. We took him bowling and he LOVED it! He's got such a cheese smile.

He told me over and over that he could hold the ball by himself and sure enough he was right.

It's time for the talk

So I was sitting on the floor building blocks with Trey today and he got up from what he was doing and jumped in my lap. I groaned a little bit because it kind of hurt and this is the conversation that followed...

Trey: "Mom, I hurt your weiner?"
Mom: "No Trey, mom doesn't have a weiner."
Trey: "Yes you do, like daddy."
Mom: "No, mom's don't have them"
Trey: "Yes you do."
Mom: "No I don't"
Trey: "Pull your pants off, I will show you."

I couldn't stop laughing, he was so serious. He cracks me up.
I'll let Jeremy be the one to break the news to him.

Say Cheese

Don't you wish that if your butt looked like this, it could be this cute?
I love it!

Multi-tasking

So I was trying to feed Avery this morning and of coarse right as I get started Trey says "mom I have to go to the bathroom". I'm sure if you've ever had a toddler and a baby you find yourselves in some pretty sticky situations, and by that I mean you realize the things you can do with only just 1 hand. Here are some things I've had to do while nursing Avery with just 1 hand

1.Put Trey on the toilet
2.Wipe Trey's bottom
3.Fix Trey a sandwich
4.Play with Trey
5.Fold Laundry (this one can be tricky)
6.Get Trey dressed
7.Color with Trey
8.Start Trey's bath
9.Get Trey a sippy(again, this one is tricky because of the lid that needs to be twisted on.
10.Switch laundry from washer to dryer

I tell you some of the things I've done make me laugh. But whats even funnier is that my sweet husband (bless his heart) has the hardest time making a bottle and holding Avery at the same time, I just laugh because he has no idea...I'm sure there are lot's more things mothers have done with just one arm and I'm even more sure one day I'll discover them.

It's a Party!

Grandma Alene got a pinata for the kids to break. They LOVED it!! Grandma Alene always has the funnest ideas for the kids. She's great. Thanks Grandma.

They were laughing too hard to be any good.

My cute little family with our awesome hats on ready for the New Year.

This isn't on New Years it was just so funny I had to post it.
Trey eating his favorite food. He always takes HUGE bites then asks "Mom, you think this will fit in my mouth?" Nothing like a challenge.

Oh those silly New Years Resolutions.

Okay this is the time of the year that we all make resolutions to become better people, or meet certain goals. Losing weight is not my resolution, but I do have some fitness goals. Pretty much I just need to vent a little. Now if any of you have ever been pregnant or are currently pregnant then you know how I feel. Don't get me wrong, I loved being pregnant but losing baby weight is the biggest pain in the butt EVER!!! Why can I work my butt off in the gym to get down to a certain weight, then workout even HARDER when I'm pregnant to NOT gain a whole bunch of weight just to find out when I'm 9 months pregnant that I've gained 38 pounds, then have the baby and lose an automatic 20 plus pounds (which isn't really even baby weight it's just fluid) in the first month postpartum and have that staggering last 15 pounds creeping all over your body?? I'm so confused. Maybe these pics will motivate me (or depress me. uggg!) to get back in shape. I love to work out it's so much fun, but it's even funner when you're seeing results.

Just found out I was pregnant in this one. I was about 7 weeks. I made Jeremy take this pic because who knows if I'll ever look like this again. Motivation?? or Frustration??

Three days before I went into labor. AHH! don't remind me.

Swimming....

More swimming. I loved this because I got so many unfriendly stares whenever I'd go to this public pool. It was hilarious. Apparently if you're pregnant and you go swimming you're supposed to wear a moo-moo to cover it up. More women should flaunt they're sexy cute bellies. Being pregnant is a miracle not an embarrassment. What can I say I'm scandalous.

Day one of my boot camp starts now...
