7 Peaks, Fireworks, Rodeo, and Poop!

We've had a really busy but fun week. On Saturday we went to 7 Peaks for the day. It was a blast! I haven't been there for about 6 years. It was so much fun. The kids loved it. Trey loved the slides and I couldn't get Avery out of the wave pool. Sunday we headed to WSU for the annual fireworks. I think it was the first year that I can remember that it rained. It was fun. They kids played and ran around. Monday night we went to the Rodeo. Trey LOVES this! He just loved the bullriding. He really could care less about the rest, and of coarse the bullriding isn't until the very end, but he LOVED it! And then they did the dirt bikes. When they went over the jumps Trey couldn't stop talking about it. It was a lot of fun! Here are some pics of the events

And here is what I found this morning when I went to get Avery to go to the gym.

Now if anyone knows of any good cleaner to get that out of the carptet PLEASE let me know!

A Work in Progress

Our basement has been nothing but a HUGE pain in our butts! We knew when we bought it, all the hard work we would have to do. When me and Jeremy found our house, we pictured ourselves living in it, fixing it up, making it our own. For some reason, all the people that have looked at our house keep coming back with the same stupid reasons why it's not going to work..."we love it,but we need the extra room downstairs" "we love it, but it's still too much work for us to finish" "we love it, but it's just not in our budget or schedule to finish it"....AAAH! Oh, and what makes me MORE mad is the fact that it's in the contract that the basement will be 100% finished when they move in, so really, what are they crying about. Why can't someone just come and get the big picture in their minds like we did. I guess they can't until it's all the way done! Over the past 5 years (yes, it has taken us THAT long) we really didn't stress the idea of having it finished, only because we didn't need all that space right away. (And plus, in case you didn't know, money DOES NOT grow on trees) Then after my kids were born I thought how nice it would be to have it done and to have more room for the kids to play, and I guess since our house is on the market, it has to be done. So right now we are racing to get it finished in the limited time we have. Jeremy's work schedule doesn't really allow him to just be able to come home after work, like most people do at 5, and work on it into the evening. He doesn't even get off work until 7 and yes, he does come home in the middle of the day from 12-2:30, but that doesn't give him very much time....soooooo, we really only have Saturdays to work on it. The sheet rockers finally finished Friday, and on Saturday thanks to family, (uncle Shayne), we were able to get in painted. It's amazing the huge difference a little paint will do. These are some of the pics I took right after we painted....I know it's a mess, don't be scared:)

The view from the family room to the hallway.

The bedroom

The bathroom...that's a tub in the back, it's covered.

The laundry room coming downstairs, sorry the pic is horrible.

And the family room. Seriously, who wouldn't love this! That is a cute little fireplace in the corner. I must be the only person still alive that loves all the cute authenticity of old houses, like, the cute skeleton key door handles, and arch ways,....whatever, they don't deserve it if they can't appreciate it!

Let Freedom Ring!

I LOVE THE 4TH!! It is my absolute favorite! The whole month is so much fun. We started out with the Farr West parade. My niece Skyla was in it, she was dancing, and she was great! Heidi sat on the back of the truck and helped them. When Taytem saw her mom she hurried and hitched a ride. Trey loved the parade. He especially loved the big trucks. We then went to Farr West days and let Trey play some games and run around. Then is was time for naps...for all of us:) Afterwards a bbq with the family, then off to the fireworks. It was such a fun day. I love spending time with my family, especially my hubby. It brings back so much fun memories of us when we were dating. Here are some pictures of the day. Also, there are some random ones of the first of the week. These pictures are in no particular order.

This one is a the nature center earlier in the week.

This is Avery's new thing, climbing on all the furniture. I miss the days when she just layed there and didn't move.

The big trucks were his favorite!

Avery was not sure what to think about the parade.

Finally!

Ahhhh, it's finally summer and finally warm! We've been waiting and waiting and now we are soaking up the sun. We've been swimming a few times. We went with Ashley and her kids at her moms house, we went to Bethany's mom's house last week with her and Chelese and their kids. (by the way Bethany, this post is for you, I know you've been waiting):) Me and my sis in-law went to the North Ogden Aquatic pool and it was so much fun. Trey would NOT get off that frog slide. He just LOVED it! Oh, and if your wondering about pics, well don't. I forgot my camera:) BUT, I did take pics of this weekend. It was my sweet mother in-laws birthday so we got together and had a bbq. It's always fun hanging out with the fam.

Here's my baby. She is always laughing at something. (Thats a toy in her mouth).

Swinging on the swing.

Little Miss Talia. I love her blue eyes!

Everyone at the bbq.

Trey talked the girls into digging for worms.

Oh, and my cousin had a shower this weekend too! She's having a little girl at the end of august. The hot bruntette next to her is my other cousin Danielle. We had the shower at her house and it was so much fun! She is a great host:)

Well that does it for now Bethany. I will try and keep up on my posting for ya!

Stupid Utah Weather

It sucks because June is almost over and we haven't done anything fun outside because it just keeps raining. I should be taking my kids swimming, or going to the park, or just going outside and playing in the backyard. I'm so sick of the rain! ENOUGH ALREADY!! Bring on the sunshine. I'm officially ready for summer to begin.
I should be sun kissed with a bronze tan by now. I'm ready for my bikini... ;)

Weekend at Jackson Hole

We had a GREAT weekend. We went up to Star Valley with Kyle and Ashley Redd. We stayed up in their cabin which was freaking AWESOME!! It was like a 5 star resort. It had like 7 bedrooms all with 1-2 Queen size beds, and bathroom. We definitely were NOT roughing it. They had 2 rangers and we took them up to a little reservoir and let the kids throw rocks. We roasted marshmellows, watched movies, and ate ALOT of great food. (I will be hitting the gym good and hard this week). Saturday we went to Jackson and shopped, and then went to eat up in the Teton Village. It was yummy! There was an awesome thunderstorm up there too. It was so cool to watch it from the mountains. Thank you Kyle and Ashley for letting us stay up there. We had sooooo much fun with you guys. Kyle's friends Jedd and Kylie came up Saturday and went to Jackson Hole with us. They were great and fun to get to know, although I think we swore off kids for them the way Trey was the last 24 hours, sorry guys, I think he was just done. Here are some of the pics from the trip. Keep in mind I forgot my camera (I know, what the crap!) so I had to get a disposable and they didn't turn out that great.

This is the cabin. It's gorgeous! There was a little pond in the back that Trey loved going to.

The view when you walk in.

Isn't this kitchen awesome?! It was so spacious.

This is the reservoir we went to. It was really pretty. The kids had fun throwing rocks in the water, and Kyle's dog was keeping us entertained fetching a ball and swimming back and forth.

Kyle and Addy on one of the Rangers.

Peyton and "kid" the dog. Peyton was so cute he just kept walking in the water without thinking twice about it. Such a boy!

Us in Jackson Hole.

The kids playing with Avery.

This is Trey after dinner up in Teton Village...poor thing was pooped!

Addy and Trey...she is so stinking cute!

Addy took this pic. I'm quite surprised at how well it turned out. Trey was jumping off the bed onto a mattress on the floor and I think she took a much better picture then I would have.

Thanks Again You Guys!

3 years old already?

We celebrated Trey's birthday on Sunday. His actual birthday was on Monday the 1st, but it's so easier to get everyone together on a Sunday. We went to Harrisville Park and had a barbecue. The kids played on the play ground and ran around. Everyone had a good time. Thanks to everyone who helped out and made Trey feel special. I took a TON of pics so I just put them in a slide show. We also went to the Dino park this last week with Grandma Alene, my sis in-laws, and their kids.

We spent the day together as a family on his birthday. We took him to Weber State and let him feed the ducks. Then we went to the toy store and let him pick out another Transformer toy. He loves them all and couldn't decide. He settled for Bumble Bee. We then took him to eat at the Oak's. He loves to eat outside so we thought he'd like to look at the river while he ate. Him and Jeremy made their way down the hill so that Trey could throw rocks in the water.

And of coarse Trey found some caterpillars and they just HAD to watch him eat his dinner.

Grandma and Pa Chambers gave him this Transformer toy. He came up with the idea that Optimus Prime and the Hulk should fight...and of coarse Optimus always won because as Trey says "Mom, he has guns on him arms!"

...and Avery is really enjoying the outdoors and the warm weather. She could spend hours and hours out on the grass watching Trey and Halo run all over the place. She just loves, loves, loves that dog! She's not afraid of her at all. It breaks my heart that we will have to find her a home before we leave:(
